The Temple of Kukulkan

Not around at the right time of year to see the feathered serpent down the steps, but still very impressive. Chichen Itza was a lot of fun and by far the largest site I visited, but it does have a downside: climbing the monuments is no longer allowed. This is understandable considering a deadly accident a few years back, but it seems strange that such a rule be enforced at one site and not at any of the others we went to (and considering that I climbed a pyramid that was actually MISSING steps . . .).

And when I say enforced, I mean it. A few rednecks tried to climb it, but were too slow/fat/shirtless to do so before security came to throw them out! Maybe I'll make a run for the top if I visit again
